Culture

Culture at Lion Pride Academy

At Lion Pride Academy we offer a variety of cultural activities that allow learners to explore their interests, talents, and social skills—promoting a balanced and enriching educational experience for all. Through these activities we help learners develop confidence, emotional intelligence, and a strong sense of community

Nurturing Confidence, Creativity, and Character

We believe that a truly excellent education goes far beyond the classroom. Our culture programme plays a vital role in shaping well-rounded learners by building confidence, creativity, public speaking, empathy, and collaboration. Through a wide range of cultural activities, every child is given the opportunity to shine, discover their talents, and grow in self-belief.

Cultural Excellence from Group 5 to Grade 12

Our cultural offering is designed to grow with our learners—starting from the foundation phase and continuing into the senior years. Whether your child is in the Primary or High School phase, they will have access to meaningful and age-appropriate cultural opportunities that foster expression and identity.

Primary School Culture Programme (Grade 1-7)

In the early years, we focus on building strong communication skills and stage confidence through:

· Public Speaking and Oral Literacy

· Drama and Creative Movement

· Foundation Phase Music and Singing

· Art and Craft Integration

· Eisteddfod Participation (individual and group entries) Learners are encouraged to take part in Eisteddfods, where they compete in poetry, storytelling, recitation, vocal performance, and drama—allowing them to perform with pride and build a love for language and culture.

High School Culture Programme (Grade 8 – 12):

As learners mature, our culture programme expands to offer more specialised, competitive, and leadership-oriented options:

· Debating and Public Speaking Clubs

· Music

· Visual Arts & Media Clubs

· School Productions and Showcases

· Eisteddfod Competitions (local and regional) Our senior learners represent the school with pride at Eisteddfod events, refining their talents in speech, drama, music, and writing, often preparing them for external qualifications, stage performances, and national festivals.

Lion Pride offers a range of convenient, on-campus enrichment programmes delivered by trusted external specialists. These bespoke activities—including Music, Ballet, Mini-Chefs, Judo, Stock Exchange Trading, and Boxing—take place during the school day or immediately thereafter, allowing learners to explore their interests without disrupting family schedules. As these are privately facilitated offerings, parents contract and pay providers directly. This model ensures high-quality, specialised instruction while giving families the flexibility and convenience they value.
