Primary School Grade RR to Grade 7

The primary school phase follows the CAPS curriculum and is enhanced through:

Learning Integrated and Interdisciplinary

- Subjects are taught in collaboration, creating meaningful connections between mathematics, sciences, languages, and creative subjects.



Coding and Robotics

- Embedded into the curriculum to build logical and computational thinking.



21st Century Learning

- Focus on collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving.



Entrepreneurship and Workplace Readiness

- Introduction to small business concepts, teamwork, and leadership.



Intervention

- Teachers analyse assessment data and bespoke support to ensure that each child can succeed.



Assessment

-Assessment is guided by CAPS and aligned with IEB standards, ensuring academic credibility. Learners are assessed continuously throughout the year, (formally and informally) to identify areas requiring support, inform targeted intervention and ensure positive academic outcomes.

High School - Senior phase Grade 8 and Grade 9

This phase of our academics builds on the primary school model while introducing career-focused learning.

CAPS Curriculum Enhancement -

Learners follow the national curriculum but with deeper integration of practical skills.



Career Choice Preparation -

Learners explore different industries through mentorships, job shadowing, and projects.



Entrepreneurship Development -

Learners start and manage small ventures.



Industry Collaboration -

Real-world projects with industry partners.



Assessment -

Project-based learning, industry-related tasks, and portfolio development.

FET Phase

High School - FET Phase: Grades 10 to 12

When our FET phase opens in 2027, learners will be able to select from three pathways, all focusing on employable skills, entrepreneurship and workplace readiness.

NSC Qualification with IEB Examination

  • CAPS-aligned academic subjects leading to university entrance.
  • Enhanced integration of IT, business and vocational exposure.
  • Practical application through industry partnerships.

NCV (National Certificate Vocational)

  • Alternative qualifications emphasizing industry-specific skills.
  • Combines traditional subjects with practical application.
  • Recognized vocational certification for employment or further studies (NQF 4 provides university entrance).

Vocational/QCTO/Occupational Qualification

  • Industry-specific training with local businesses.
  • Access to job market after qualification.
  • Entrepreneurship skills developed to generate own income.
What subjects are offered in the Foundation Phase (Grade RRR–3)?

The Foundation Phase curriculum covers English Home Language, Afrikaans and isiZulu as First Additional Languages, Mathematics, and Life Skills. In our academics, learners are also introduced to coding and robotics, alongside water safety through the Learn-to-Swim programme.

The Intermediate Phase of our curriculum includes English Home Language, Afrikaans or isiZulu as a First Additional Language, Mathematics, Life Skills, Coding & Robotics, Social Sciences, Natural Science and Technology, and Creative Arts.

The Senior Phase curriculum includes English Home Language, Afrikaans or isiZulu as a First Additional Language, Mathematics, Life Orientation, Creative Arts, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Economic & Management Sciences.

The FET Phase follows the CAPS curriculum aligned with IEB standards. Core subjects in our academics are English Home Language, Afrikaans or isiZulu as a First Additional Language, Mathematics, and Life Orientation. Learners then choose three electives from Physical Science, Life Sciences, Geography, Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, Tourism, History, and Computer Applications Technology (CAT). Note that Physical Science and Accounting require pure Mathematics rather than Mathematics Literacy.

Class sizes are kept small to support individual attention: a maximum of 20 learners in Foundation Phase, 25 in Intermediate Phase, 25–30 in Senior Phase, and 30 in FET Phase.

School hours vary slightly by phase. Foundation Phase runs 07h30–15h00, while Intermediate, Senior, and FET Phase run from 07h30 and finish between 14h00 and 14h30 depending on grade. Aftercare is available until 18h00 across all phases.

Yes. Coding and robotics are introduced in the Foundation Phase of our academics and continue through the Intermediate Phase, forming part of the school’s future-focused approach to preparing learners for a digital world.
